
Snoop Dogg has taken to his Instagram to pay tribute to his younger brother, Bing Worthington who sadly passed away last Thursday, at the age of 44.
Last week, the rapper took to his Instagram to confirm the tragic news, posting a picture of his half-brother alongside their mother, Beverly Tate, who passed away in 2021. Now, Snoop Dogg remembering his late brother with an emotional pic from their mother’s funeral.
Snoop Dogg tells late brother to ‘keep mama company’
Taking to his 85.5 million Instagram followers, the Drop It Like It’s Hot singer posted a photo in which he and Worthington were standing in front of their mother’s casket wearing all red suits with brother Jerry.
In the caption, he penned: “Everlastin love Beverly’s boys. Dirty left bing and snoopy.🕊️@badabing33 miss that laugh and the way u made us smile keep mama company ’till we get there.”
As well as being Snoop Dogg’s brother, Bing also worked alongside the rapper, as a tour manager. However, he wasn’t just automatically given the title, as he admitted he had to ‘work’ for it.
“I started from the bottom, I ain’t just become the tour manager, I was just the road guy. I worked my way to the top, he told Vice in 2016.
“Even though I’m his brother he didn’t give me a top-ranked position. You can’t just become a president without knowing anything about being the president. You have to learn.”
The tragic news comes weeks after rapper’s daughter suffers stroke
The news of the 52-year-old’s brother’s tragic death comes just a month after his daughter, Cori Broadus suffered a severe stroke at 24.
Taking to her Instagram stories at the time, Cori posted a picture of a hospital bed, alongside the caption: “I had a severe stroke this am. I started breaking down crying when they told me.
“Like I’m only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this.”
Thankfully, the CEO of beauty brand Choc Factory made a recovery and was sent home from the hospital.
Updating her followers at the time she returned, she said: “Listen to your body for real. I’m glad I’m still here and able to tell my story.”
