JACKSON — The bright lights, big crowd and one of the best basketball teams in Mississippi were too much for the Bay Springs Bulldogs to overcome — especially early — as they lost 62-46 to defending Class 2A champion Coahoma County (29-4) Friday at the Mississippi Coliseum.

Coahoma County raced to a 16-0 lead and held Bay Springs (26-4) scoreless for the first 7 minutes, 18 seconds of the game, which proved too much for Bay Springs.
