Ella Martine, a singer-songwriter, from California, shared the hilarious conversation with her mother on Twitter - and racked up well over 100,000 likes for her troubles.
While Ella was hoping for admiring comments on her new surroundings, her eagle-eyed mother spotted a pair of handcuffs dangling from the headboard.
